Crypto and token derivatives are high risk. Read this before you trade real money.
Derivatives can lose more than you put in
- Futures, perpetuals and options on Delta Exchange India are leveraged. A small price move can wipe out your margin, and positions can be liquidated automatically at a loss.
- Funding payments on perpetuals, fees, GST and price slippage add to costs, and can turn a winning position into a losing one.
- Options can expire worthless. Sellers of options can face large losses.
- Crypto markets trade 24×7, move fast and can gap through stop-loss levels.
Regulation and tax
- Crypto assets are not legal tender in India and are not regulated by SEBI or the RBI the way shares and bank deposits are. Investor protection available for regulated securities may not apply.
- Gains from virtual digital assets are taxed in India, and tax deducted at source may apply to transfers. How crypto derivatives are taxed can change; speak to a qualified tax professional.
Paper trading is not real trading
Our paper engine follows Delta's rules closely, but simulated fills, slippage and liquidations can differ from real ones, and trading without real money at stake does not test your discipline. Paper results, season rankings and other users' performance do not predict your results with real money.
Tools can be wrong
Indicators, signals, the Imbalance Map, absorption and iceberg detection, screens and AI explanations are based on market data that can be delayed or wrong, and on models that can fail. They are tools to help you think, not instructions to trade.
Live mode and copy trading
In Live mode, orders you confirm are sent to your own Delta account, and you are responsible for them. Copy trading repeats another trader's orders in your account within the limits you set; their past results do not predict future ones. Outages at Delta, our relay or your internet connection can delay or prevent orders.
Only trade what you can afford to lose
If you are unsure whether derivatives trading is right for you, don't trade real money until you are, and consider independent advice.
